A noun (noun) is a word that names a person, place, thing, animal, or idea.

En español: Un sustantivo es una palabra que nombra una persona, lugar, cosa, animal o idea.

a) Common Nouns vs Proper Nouns (Comunes vs Propios)

Reglas del plural:

  • General: +s → book → books

An object (objeto) is the noun or pronoun that receives the action of the verb. It answers the questions what? or whom?

En español: Un objeto es el sustantivo o pronombre que recibe la acción del verbo. Responde a las preguntas ¿qué? o ¿a quién?

5. Types of Objects (Tipos de objetos)

a) Direct Object (Objeto directo)

The direct object receives the action directly. It answers what? or whom?

En español: El objeto directo recibe la acción directamente. Responde a ¿qué? o ¿a quién?

The indirect object receives the direct object. It answers to whom? or for whom?

En español: El objeto indirecto recibe el objeto directo. Responde a ¿a quién? o ¿para quién?

In English, the object always comes after the verb.

En español: En inglés, el objeto siempre va después del verbo.
