1. ¿Qué es un verbo?

Un verbo (verb) es la palabra que expresa acción, estado o proceso. Es el elemento más importante de la oración porque sin verbo no hay oración.

En español: correr, comer, ser, estar, tener, hablar
En inglés: run, eat, be, have, speak

Usos:

  • Como verbo principal: I do my homework. = Hago mi tarea.

4. Verbos modales (Modal Verbs)

Los modales NO cambian según el pronombre y van seguidos de verbo en base.

Regla: Después de un modal, el verbo va en base (sin to, sin -s, sin -ing).

  • ✅ She can swim. = Ella puede nadar.

  • ❌ She can swims / to swim / swimming.

a) Presente Simple (Present Simple)

Uso: Rutinas, hábitos, verdades generales.

Estructura: S + V (base / +s/-es en 3ª persona)
