🎯 INTRODUCCIÓN: ¿Qué son los verbos modales?
Los verbos modales (modal verbs) son un tipo especial de auxiliares que NO expresan una acción, sino la actitud del hablante frente a la acción: posibilidad, obligación, permiso, habilidad, consejo, etc.
Los 9 modales principales son:

Ejemplo de la diferencia:
I work. → Acción real (trabajo)
I can work. → Habilidad (puedo trabajar)

Los modales no tienen pasado propio (excepto could), así que se usan otras estructuras:

💡 CONSEJOS FINALES
Memoriza la tabla de funciones (habilidad, permiso, obligación, etc.); te ayuda a elegir el modal.
Los modales nunca llevan -s, -ed, ni "to" (excepto ought to).
No uses do/does/did con modales; se invierten solos.
No combines dos modales; usa be able to o have to cuando necesites.
Aprende las diferencias clave: can/could, may/might, must/have to, should/must.
Practica con situaciones reales: pide permiso, da consejos, expresa posibilidad.
Escucha canciones y series; los modales aparecen constantemente.
